A guest lecture was delivered at Kamla Lotia Sanatan Dharam College on March 10, 2018 on the topic ‘ Career planning and opportunities for graduates and post graduates’ in the college premises .The Speaker for the lecture was Dr. D.K. Bharti, who is presently working as DIRECTOR, PANACEA BHARTI INSTITUTE, a premier educational institute in Ludhiana. Dr. Marwaha, Head of Department of Commerce felicitated Dr. D.K. BHARTI for the Guest Lecture. Ms. Devyani, introduced the speaker and the topic of the lecture to the students. In his lecture Dr. Bharti discussed the Importance of career planning and various opportunities available for graduates and post graduates. He also highlighted the importance of right guidance and planning in life. “The first stage of Career Choice is Self Awareness. This stage a comprehensive analysis of your skills, values, interests, personality and your strengths and weaknesses. This kind of complete Self-assessment will help you a certain right career path for yourself said DR. BHARTI. Furthermore, he listed down various career options available in India : livelihood security jobs, high profile jobs, aptitude based jobs along with the plan of action associated with them. He also shared inspiring success stories which not only motivated students but also inspired them to create their own success stories. Dr. Bharti gave some success mantras for cracking UGC NET / JRF EXAM in the very first attempt. He also emphasized on the scope, importance and various opportunities available after UGC NET/JRF. The students interacted enthusiastically and the resource person answered their queries and cleared their doubts.

At the end, Associate Professor of department presented a memento to the speaker. The session came to an end with the vote of thanks by the student General Secretary.
